As every time in the beginning of each year I am watching the recorded streams of the Chaos Computer Congress in Berlin, Germany. It is always very interesting and I can only recommend everyone interested in technology and securityto have a look at them.
The best thing of the congress is that the presentations are not limited to technology but a lot of them are also about politics and social issues. The point of view is often from an technological standing point and influenced by the hacker ethics of questioning what is said to be true.
I just watched a short presentation about Plutocracy, which is the rule of the rich. Have look at it even your English might not be the best, because it is very interesting and not very hard to understand.

Auf meiner Suche nach der Lösung des Problems, dass mein Epson Photo R2880 am Anfang und am Ende der bedrucken Photos schattige Streifen hinterlässt, bin ich stattdessen zu einer Seite gelangt, die sich mit Epson Durckern allgemein befasst und im Speziellen der Nutzung und des Abführen von Tinte.
Die Schatten können übrigens wohl von Papier kommen, welches zu hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit ausgesetzt war/ist.

How to export pictures in Lightroom is not the problem, but what %-quality option to choose is important for the size of the resulting files. Specially when exporting to show them on a web page, the size is still the most important thing to take good care of. I noticed that pictures with a size much larger than 150Kb lower the user experience when browsing through them.
I tried to optimize my export options according to this but could not get a good result. Changing the option sometimes did not result a different size of picture at all. Search about this topic reveilled that Lightroom seem to give the option of 0-100%, 101 steps, but couldn’t care less about changing the quality from 99% to 95%. I happens that Lightroom “translates” the 101 steps into 13 steps. This web page has a very good look at the problem with many examples, which also show that size aware exporters should also consider very much the contents of the picture.

Last week there was a complete lunar eclipse causing a red moon. I had the chance to enjoy it, because my flatmate reminded me of this event at that night. I started to take pictures around midnight and finished after the peak at around 1:45am. The weather was modest quite clear with a bunch of clouds passing by. Luckily at the peak all clouds were gone and I was able to take some clear shots. A short time late the conditions changed to high misty clouds, but I had already everything I wanted.
I edited the pictures a little to get rid of the noise but did not change the coloring. The moon was really that red. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.
