I do not think this is something I am proud of but I just started to watch the Step Up series. No, I am not bored and I have plenty to do. The thing that interested me was not the acting and not the story. When I watched the trailer back in the days, I something made me curious.

The movie was not better or worse than I expected. The acting of the main characters was not convincing and the story was as old and unoriginal as it could be. The best actor was the supporting role of a music student Miles Darby played by Mario. Interestingly it is the only movie he played in (IMDB). The only reason to watch this movie was the music and one or two scenes, where they did some dancing, eg. the last dance. Whenever the main character Tyler dances outside the school it looks more ridicules than good.
Still, I will continue with the second movie and hope it will surprise me.
If anyone is interested in a similar movie with more depth and real actors, then I highly recommend Save the Last Dance with Julia Styles.
