The last two, or to more correct, from about 30.10 to 9.11 i was looking for a new place. I first looked for rooms in gumtree, a website like eBay but with more diverse offerings. I did Not find anything in surry Hills or paddington. Later i found out that these areas are Not really advertised there. For them One needs to Look into domain.COM.au or flatmatfinder.COM.au or others. So i arranged about 15 appointments on thursday, friday and saturday (3:10:2) in the area of randwick, kensington and kingsford.
What i have seen was mostly the following: 2 or 3 bedroom units, where the additional Open livingroom was used by another Person, a couple or even a couple with kid. The other or even worse additional feature was a smelly or unclean Environment. In total i had only on saturday a nice visit, where a 2 bedroom with closed livingroom were offered. It had a shared “room”, which initially was/is the spacious hallway with Couch and table. Also the inhabitance seemed nice. In the end i did not take it, but it would have been a good choice.
The other interesting One was on friday. I was welcomed very friendly and happy. A malaisian-japanese couple was living there, who used all rooms but One. This One was sized ok but facing the wall of the other house – at least about 5 meters away.
The last good One was more about the Woman Living there. It was the House of her parents, who did Not live there any more. She was renting the two other rooms People. One was taken by a young Korean Student, the otherone would have been mine. Everything was perfectly clean and nice, sadly the window was facing the Wall of the Next house – 1 Meter away. Specially sad because i was Talking to her for more than 1 Hour.
As you can see, looking for rooms is exhausting but it is possible to get to Know new and interesting people.
On Sunday i had another 5 inspections. This was Special. I was able to have a glimps into the darker Side of living situations of People, whos only Target is to live cheap and of ones who Never learned to care about their Living Environment.
