Windows 7 as access point

By | 1. April 2011

I had the problem that in some hotels there is no wifi but only a cable internet connection. Because I wanted to access internet with my iPhone, I needed a solution. First I tried to use an Ad-hock wifi connection to my iPhone parallel to the cable connection but this did not really work. I am not sure if I did something wrong or it was because of the special Lenovo Thinkvantage  software.

I now found a free software called conectify.me, which enables Windows 7 to be an wifi Access point.
