Expectations before watching: I heard about this movie when it was just out a couple of months ago and thought it might be a nice short lasting comedy. It did not expect to be blasted away by laughs but have fun and a giggle every so often.

Comments: Let me say this upfront: I hated this movie. There are different types of humor but sadly to say, Hollywood seems to tend to the one I do not like. Besides humor which comes from funny moments good edgy reactions in situations, this movie is completely filled with the humor which is caused by people are making fools of themselves. I know there are people who laugh out lot about that kind of humor but I just can not stand it. I always have to think about this German word Fremdschämen, which basically means that I feel ashamed for the the character in the movie.
The acting of all characters is just bad and I did not feel connected to any of them. The only funny few minutes are, when she tries to get the attention of her police officers attention by littering, reckless driving and else but I had to wait one hour for this.

The movie is listed in the following categories: [imdb:categories]

  • Comedy: 0,5
  • Overall: 0,5

Recommendation: Disclaimer: Movie ratings are controversial because numbers, stars or percent do not really tell much about the quality of a movie. It is even worse if the reader does not know the rating person, his or her preferences or expectations when watching it. Hence, I do not really like a rating with numbers. Nevertheless, the style of rating movies and handing out points or stars is in the end the most easiest way to mark a movie and tell others about what to expect of a movie. Not to fight over the different marking systems, I decided to use the five star system of movielens, which classifies the stars into 1 star for Awful, 2 for Fairly Bad, 3 for It’s OK, 4 for Will Enjoy and 5 stars for Must See. Still, I recommend everyone not to rely on pure numbers (stars) but to read the comments to make a decision. Additionally, I try to include a expectation section to make the pre-condition clear, which lead to a certain rating. Last, I will add additional comments, dates and ratings if I watch a movie multiple times to track and show how my taste or view of the movie is changing.
