I went to Kennards hire to get the steam cleaning machine the other day. I wanted to start cleaning, but the water trigger was liking. So, I needed to get a new one. It took them two hours to deliver. I started cleaning the carpet at 2pm. My room took me about 30 minutes and the hallway another 20 minutes. As you can see on the picture, after having the full bucket of fresh water in the disposal bucket, and after emptying that into the toilet, there was still a huge amount of sand (see picture).
After that, I cleaned the kitchen floor with the machine, but I had to scrub the floor first, so it took me another 40 minutes. After all that I restarted the cleaning – I cleaned everything again.
It turned out that this was a good idea. There was another huge amount of dirt coming out of the carpet. I think it would have been worth it to clean another two times but after 4h I needed to bring the machine back.
In total I vacuumed the amount of two bags and wet cleaned the amount of more than 2cm Sand from the floor. I think now it is pretty save to walk barefoot on the floor 😉
