Lime stone cliffs

By | 6. February 2011

Driving north I passed by some lime stone cliffs at omarama. They were quite interesting. Most amazing were the clouds, which paced very low above the cliffs and rapidly changed their shape. I could also see the water particles in some, which exposed themselves as rainbow colored shiny areas. Have a look at the pictures.

Now I am at the north west end of lake ohau. It is raining a little coming from north west. I am thinking to stay here tonight, but I am not totally certain because of the rain. The temperature is not the problem. It is 7pm and still about 25 degrees. The camp site is at the lake… Oh, let me see, they say the lake is infected with didymo. I want to wash myself in it, so I need to find out, if that is possible.
….
Ok, it’s not a health risk as wikipedia says. The water is too cold to have a real nice bath. But since it was very hot today, I need a shower. So, what should I do?

Following the pictures of the cliffs and last one of the lakeside.
