that’s IT!!!
we arrived at the AirPort for our vacation starting at Melbourne. we had to check in One lagguage and because IT was more than the allowed 15kg, we had to pay for this $25.
but than the Trouble began: we had to weight the carry-on bags. kazooooom… they were too heavy. the Girls from the desk asked us to repack and for that to go back to the end of the line. 🙁 we told them and asked if there is enough time for that since the queue was very Long. It was still about 1h till checkin closed. so back there, guess the weight of the stuff and repack.
back at the desk out Carryon was 8kg instead of 7kg and 12kg instead of 8kg. at least at that point we were able to convince them that the extra backpack of 8kg was only filled with Camera and Laptop. but we had to repack again and of cause go back to the end of the line. since Time was Running out we again asked if we would have the Time for that. – Yes they sayed.
repacking the Third time we did this in à hurry in the Quite Short line and when we were finished i went directly to the desk and asked if may come directly to here since the official boarding Time was almost over. but She refused and sayed that anyone in line would go to Melbourne and we would Be fine.
well saied bad done… when IT was our turn again, 20 min before official departure, She saied that checkin is closed now. there was à Final call And we did not react or She demanded that would Not even had been in the line. that was Not correct and we did Not hear any call Even being in line. and As always any discussion With the people at the desk since they just follow orders or do Not care at all. i gave up asking for the manager Long Time ago since the is normally no One there or One of the desk staff is the “responsable” member for important descisions but in the end is not more than the others.
we were offered to take the next flight 2h later for $70 each – descision made within the next 10min. After à Short talk to each other we decided for the offere, not without complaining again and asking for the names of the desk persons. they refused to give them and to do any compromise in favour to us.
Long Story short: we are now about to take off and Tiger airways will see us After this trip never again! i never ever heared about others having such à problem. they will receive à complaining Letter from us – that’s for sure.
